Acceptance of Regulations
Booking accommodation at Maecò Ortigia B&B implies acceptance of these regulations.
The person making the reservation is personally responsible for compliance, including by any accompanying guests.

Rates
Prices are expressed in euros and refer to the reserved accommodation for the requested period.

The agreed rate includes utilities (electricity, water, bed and bath linen) and, where applicable, any specified meals (breakfast or others). We reserve the right to modify the published rates of our accommodations at any time and without prior notice. However, once a booking is confirmed, the agreed price (excluding any extras) will not change.

The tourist tax of the Municipality of Siracusa is due upon check‑in.
It amounts to 4% of the taxable rate, up to a maximum of €5 per person.
Exemptions apply to:
- Adults aged 80 years or older
- Minors under 14 years of age
Please note: To ensure a peaceful stay aligned with our property’s services and nature, guests must be at least 12 years old. Thank you for your understanding.

Booking Policy
Reservations can be made online using the booking system available on our website.
To confirm a booking, guests must provide:
- Full personal details
- A telephone number
- An email address
- The dates of stay
- Number of guests
- Valid credit card details, which will be held as a guarantee according to our cancellation policy.
Maecò Ortigia B&B reserves the right to pre‑authorize credit cards.
If you prefer not to provide your credit card details via our website or other means, your booking can be confirmed with a deposit (30% of the total amount for flexible‑rate bookings or 100% for non‑refundable rates) payable by bank transfer.

Cancellation and prepayment terms vary depending on the selected accommodation type.
Please check the applicable conditions before finalizing your reservation.

The balance of your stay is due at check‑in at Maecò Ortigia B&B.
Guests may also request to pay the balance after the free‑cancellation period expires, either via bank transfer or by charging the credit card provided at booking.

For non‑refundable rates, full prepayment is required via credit card or bank transfer at the time of booking. Failure to comply with the payment deadlines will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation, and the accommodation will be made available for new requests.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made within the free‑cancellation period (if applicable) will not incur any charge, and any pre‑authorization will be released.
Cancellations made after this deadline will result in a charge of the full booking amount.

In the event of early departure, the full agreed booking amount will be retained.
Discounted non‑refundable rates are not eligible for any refund under any circumstances.

Cancellations or modifications must be made in writing, within the permitted period, by sending an email to info@maeco‑ortigia.it.
Any modification or cancellation request must be confirmed in writing by Maecò Ortigia B&B.

Unavailability of Accommodation
Should force majeure prevent us from providing the reserved accommodation, Maecò Ortigia B&B reserves the right to assign another accommodation of similar or higher standard at the same rate or, in extreme cases, to cancel the booking and refund any payments received.
No further claims or compensation will be accepted beyond the refund of the amount paid.

Arrival – Balance – Security Deposit
Check‑in time is from 1:00 PM to 06:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Upon arrival, guests must present a valid form of identification. If no valid ID is provided, the booking will be cancelled, and the full amount retained.

Accepted payment methods for optional services:
- Cash
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, CartaSì, Bancomat)

Departure
On the day of departure, guests must vacate their room by 10:30 AM, unless otherwise agreed.
Any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment must be compensated.

Breakfast
Where included, breakfast is served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Guests must inform Maecò Ortigia B&B of any food allergies or intolerances, whether personal or related to their accompanying guests.

Pets
Pets are not allowed.

House Rules During Your Stay
Please check the condition of the accommodation upon arrival and report any irregularities or missing items within 24 hours.
Copying keys is strictly prohibited: unauthorized duplication constitutes a criminal offense under Italian law.
In case of lost keys, a €100 replacement fee applies.

The number of occupants must not exceed the maximum allowed capacity.
Inviting non‑registered visitors is not permitted without prior notice and approval from management.

All accommodations are delivered clean and fully functional upon check‑in.
